Dick showed the Toshiba Sonic Jacket on TV about 20 years ago, a white jacket with 6 pockets for amplifier, speakers and your cassette player. It was never commercially released. A forerunner of the Scott E-Vest.

A listener explains that the song from the Perry Como Show "We Get Letters" was written by "Charles Ray Offenberg" who also called himself Ray Charles. That explains why "We Get Letters" does not sound soulful, because it's the other Ray Charles.
