Short info

Dick find his way home from CES using the Garmin Nüvi 880.

Detailed information

The Garmin Nüvi 880 is a new GPS from Garmin that is expected to hit the market in the 2nd quarter of this year.  Apart from the usual GPS functions, it is capable of speech recognition to take voice commands, such as "Find Address", "Where am I?" and "Get Food".  You also get a free trial service of MSN Direct to get dynamic information such as weather, traffic, gas prices, stock prices and movie listings.  Other trimmings include bluetooth capability and compatibility with Audible Books, and a 4.3" colour touch screen display.

If you don't want to wait for the 880, the Garmin Nüvi 780 comes sooner, which is like the 880, but without the voice commands.  Starting from 15th March, you can also rent an Avis car with the 780 for a daily or weekly rate.

Head To Head Wednesday

Deak, technology director of information, systems and computing at the University of Pennsylvania, suggests that Dick and Leo do a head to head each Wednesday on a selected category, and get one of their crack jingle writers to do a Head To Head theme.
