Short info

Shut out everything but The Daily Giz Wiz as Leo tells you about the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint Headphones.

Detailed information

Audio-Technica's ANC7 headphones employs its QuietPoint active noise cancellation technology to reduce 85% of environmental noise.  It uses a single AAA battery (which lasts for up to 40 hours) for the noise cancelling circuitry.  The headphones function normally without the battery (without noise cancellation).  To turn off noise cancellation, just remove the detachable cable.

Large-aperture 40 mm drivers with neodymium magnet systems for deeper bass, extended treble and higher fidelity.  They come with a stereo adapter, a stereo mini plug, airline adapter, all in a carrying case, and cheaper than the Bose equivalent (Episode 93).

There is also a model for noise cancellation earbuds, ANC3.

The GizWizBiz Cap Comes to the Rescue

Dick took up the offer from the Vegas Cabbie (Episode 434), aka Rick, when he went to Las Vegas for CES.  Dick was given a free ride to the airport, and he gave Rick one of his new GizWizBiz caps.  Rick writes in to report that recently he got a $100 note for his fare one evening, which got whipped off from his hand by the wind.  The GizWizBiz Cap came to his rescue, and he found his banknote using the cap's LED light.
