The Logitech VX Nano was the gadget that Leo was going to talk about in yesterday's TTTT.It is a smallish travel mouse for notebooks. It's a cordless, laser mouse, and has the world's smallest USB wireless receiver that plugs into the back of your laptop and almost disappears. A compartment on the underside of the mouse stores the Nano Receiver when the mouse is not in use, which at the same time turns off the batteries giving them a longer life. A hyper-fast scroll wheel allows smooth and speedy scrolling, and there are 5 customisable buttons - programmable through the Windows software on the CD that comes with the mouse. Mac users can download the Logitech Control Center for Mac. Comes with a travel pouch.
What's more, it's made symmetrically, so no bias against lefties. It may well find its way into Ned Flanders's Leftorium.
Botanicalls
After the recent episodes on gadgets for watering plants (Rainstick: Episode 500, and Thirsty Light: Episode 503), Bruce Horn writes in to tell Dick that there's a DIY gadget that can send you an alert on Twitter when your plant is thirsty. It's called the Botanicalls Twitter.
