Short info

Help your wine breath with Vinturi.

Detailed information

The Vinturi Wine Aerator is a practical application of the Venturi effect (which can also be derived from Bernoulli's Principle).  As the speed of a moving fluid increases (caused in the case of the Vinturi by pouring wine through a narrow opening), the pressure inside the fluid decreases.  The reduction in pressure draws in air, allowing the wine to "breathe" and open up instantly.

Leo has another wine aerator which uses the same principle.  It's called the Soirée.

Cellar and Basement

A rare English vocabulary lesson from Dick.  What's the difference between a cellar and a basement?  A cellar is a creepy thing you don't want to go down.  A basement is a place where you put all your stuff.

Coin Wrappers

In Episode 861, Dick and Leo talked about Coinstar and reminisced about wrapping stacks of coins in paper.  DrMom, the resident doctor in the chatroom, writes in to say that paper wrappers are still available in most stationery stores, or at coinwrappers.com.  For a fun gadget, DrMom prescribes the Twist-N-Crimp, for a professional coin stack finish.
