Leo has 2 choices for Dick today: one for $400, another which is priceless that you can't buy. Dick of course can't resist the priceless one.Back in Episodes 375 and 429, Leo mentioned that Marc and Nicole Spagnuolo were going to build him a gadget cupboard. That arrived yesterday and Leo is proud to present the showcase of the day - the Wood Whisperer's Gadget Station.
Made of spotted maple wood with ebony accents, the inspiration of the Gadget Station comes from the eNook. The door slides down to reveal shelves for gadgets, with holes drilled into the back panel of the cupboard for wiring and power cords. The bottom compartment hides a power extension cord, such as a Power Squid, for multiple connections to your gadgets when you need to charge them.
Nicole Spagnuolo has been a fan of Leo's for years, and Marc runs the site The Wood Whisperer. Although you can't buy the Gadget Station, you can make it yourself, and follow Marc's instructions on his video podcast.
The pictures above taken from Marc's video podcasts are of a prototype of version 2 of the Gadget Station, and Marc was still considering improvements to it when he made the podcast. Leo already has his in the TWiT Cottage. Some of the changes which can be seen in Leo's version include different doors (as there's no need to use the door as a platform for a laptop), and the power extension cord compartment is incorporated into the main body of the Gadget Station.

As mentioned before, Leo has set up an audio stream for TWiTLive, and when TWiTLive is off, the audio for pre-recorded shows is beamed, on twit.am/listen. You can hear it on iTunes or any player capable of playing internet radio, or on the iPhone using Tuner Internet Radio or FStream ...
Squeezebox Boom
... but loyal listener Steve Millier from Westerville, Ohio listens to the audio stream on his Logitech Squeezebox Boom, by streaming music from his computer to it. He was glad to hear Leo introduce the Levenger Surf Desk (Episode 677), and that Leo is also a pen junkie. Steve has been using Levenger products for years, and he is a bit of a gadget junkie himself (see Episode 279).
Coming Soon
Leo is blown away by something from SanDisk which Dick has asked to be sent Leo's way, and Leo might cover it one day.
