Detailed information
Link: Wikipedia Entry
From the mid-80s, the SmartModem 1200 was made by Hayes which was the industry standard. The 1200 stood for 1200 bauds, which was the unit used in those days to measure the rate of data transmission. A baud is the number of electronic state changes per second, but as one state change may involve more than one bit, the more accurate unit of bits per second was later adopted. Hayes has completely disappeared off the map.Urban Legend: The Collyer Brothers
Dick does not want to go the way of the Collyer Brothers, and is doing his best to stop the clutter in the Gadget Warehouse.
More Amnesia and Letters Encore
Dick starts re-reading a letter from Carl from Richmond BC about the Ultimate Ears earphones (from Episode 231), when Leo realises that it has been read already. Then Dick turns to another letter, by John from West Covina, about the MicroTrack, and asks Leo if he has heard of the gadget. Leo says yes, he's heard about it. That's right, he heard it on Episode 232 !!
